Ooops, somehow I missed libmime-lite-perl, but for Digest-MD5 I've found only libmd5-perl which is a wrapper.
Before you search too long and try to understand what is Debian doing - Perl 5.8 includes Digest::MD5. Therefore systems which use 5.8 only have empty MD5 packages for compatibility reasons.
