hi, I have RedHat 7.0 distribution,it comes with netscape-4.75. Does it support crypto functions.
Through httpd-public interface I have installed the CA certificate in this browser, after that i have imported the browser_01.p12 ( RA certificate in browser supported format) by the option provided in netscape (Communicator->tools->security info->yours), but when i try to view , verify or delete this RA certificate then netscape gets terminated and it shows some "bus error". And again the same problem comes "Sign is needed to proceed". So can somebody tell me which netscape version i should use, and where can i find it, and what is this "bus error" >From: Massimiliano Pala <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: OpenCA Users <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: Re: [Openca-Users] Sign is needed to proceed... >Date: Fri, 01 Feb 2002 17:29:47 +0100 > >Harry Waschkeit wrote: > >[ Javascript crypto function] > > It seems, that the used JavaScript module doesn't support the crypto >module. > > > > Ideas? > >Hi, > >the problem is that the crypto function is only, currently, available in >Netscape 4.06+ but not in Mozilla and its derivates (Netscape6, Galeon, >etc...). > >To be able to sign a request you need to use Netscape 4.06+ AND you have >to have a correctly verified certificate installed into Netscape that will >be used to sign the request.
