I have followed the thread with a lot of attention because I had the same
problem ("sign is needed" message and a test CA/RA on the same computer) but
I managed to solve it yesterday, so I though this could help...
I created the certificates of the RA Operator with the scripts and then
imported it in my web browser as explained in the doc. But when I tryed to
validate a request for certificate on the RA, I got the message "sign is
needed" and the request was validated but with an error in the signature
(the certificate was not known).
In fact, I had to go in the CA and to export the new certs. Then, on the RA
I imported the new certs and now all is working fine !
