Are we talking about something to facilitate development of the OC
Interpreter, or are we talking about the OC development application?  How
would you expect it to work (like "embeded" MetaCard)?.

For 15 years I have worked with an accounting system based on a proprietary
language that is preprocessed (early versions to Pascal, later versions to
CodeWarrior C).  One of the things I find significantly superior in Xtalk
development is when I encounter a bug at runtime I can go right to the
script, change it, and continue on.  In the accounting program I have to
leave the program, locate and modify the source code, precompile the
source, compile the precompiled source, and link the application.  If the
latter is what would be required with an Xtalk plugin, I don't want it.

But then again, you haven't educated me as to the benefits of your proposal.
