Alain,
thank you. I didn't want to push you to do anything, it just didn't feel
right to have Anthony and you debating about this topic when a simple test
with added headers would've told us whether the headers were the problem.
To get back to the subject of this thread:
Alain's comment on him having suggested SourceForge already:
I was aware of that, and actually I thought of pur continued
investigation as an immediate result of that. If there was a break in
between, it was certainly that I had to find the time to visit their web
site first. I didn't want to discuss about things I don't know about.
Furthermore, although I see SourceForge is very likely a useful asset, I
still would like to find out more about the conditions we are subjected to
when we use their server. Do they claim any rights on our software? This
could be as simple things as that they'll compile a CD of every project on
the server (which might be quite desirable once we have progressed farther)
or that they reserve the right to advertise by saying "such cool projects
as the MacEmacs text editor are hosted on our servers", anyhow it'd be
important to know such things beforehand so we're not surprised. Some
companies reserve the right to change their terms of use without further
notice ... you get the picture.
"more INPUT!", please.
Cheers,
