Thanks a lot Matt. Working in the dx native format
is given better, actually good, results using the sequence
import->showconnections->image. 

Do you have any idea on how to label the nodes
and the elements in the grid? Something like the
ones shown on figure 13, pg 65 of the Quick Start 
guide.
