This is a universal problem :). No costumer service representative, of any service, is expected to walk you through testing using Linux command lines. If we could use Linux alternatives on school projects openly and freely without restrictions, then we could demand services to comply as well, but since education is still tied to contracts and agreements, so everything else will be.
