I am not saying the opposite, more that I am unable to say what you do.

I meant that for me
./configure
make
did not work and I had to figure out lots of --things then hack various
makefiles etc to create anything at all.

(And then it did not work for my target and by then I had lost
confidence but eventually figured out that it was not my fault but
rather that the TCL config for my target was broken - so I posted the
fix.)
