I was able to get get an acquaintance of mine, who happens to have the right equipment, to reprogram the NAND flash onboard. So, my system is booting again.
I still want to get this SoC supported in OpenOCD, so that all of these ipq806x systems can potentially be recoverable, and so that I can try building/running my own custom u-boot, but I have a lot of other work I need to do right now. I am going to put this down for a couple of months then I'll come back to it when I have some time. Thanks to everyone who helped me out. Special thanks to Jiri!
