Generally, that audience are well capable of doing an apt-get upgrade, 
yum update, or compiling from source. I don't think we should fret about 
the requirements of compiling trunk from source - that kind of thing 
has, and probably always will be the domain of geeks. If the release 
tarball (when it eventuates) presents difficulty to users, that's 
another story.
