I'd like to note that these version constraints make it impossible to
autobuild snapshot packages in a clean Debian sarge system. Latest
versions there:

   libtoolize (GNU libtool) 1.5.6
   automake (GNU automake) 1.9.5
   autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.59
