Hy folks,
sorry for not responding to your mails, but as i have no access to
my mail account right now, i have to do this from work.
1.) mod_php:
This is what i work on right now, as the PHP Group didn`t do
so yet. Status: Not ready yet, but i will try to get it done
within the next two weeks.
2.) mod_perl:
Like mod_php, this will be an issue for the next master release.
To Luke: we`ll have to define some kind of standard config for
the InstallShield installation, to allow running without doing
any config.
3.) Food for thought:
Jim, from the mails i get, i would say you`re right. People
just want to get rid of M$ or have it running without any
blue screens.
Another point: target system for a project is Linux with
Apache, but at home a little Win98 developing system is
enough for testing purposes.
Luke, any experiences with OpenSSL, mainly using it with
scripting languages like perl, php or batch files are
appreciated, no matter if they succedded or not :-)
4.) Cash for stuff:
Ugly point, as i have no idea how to charge and what to charge.
Basicly the point is, that i have to pay the server and the
T1 line from my private account, which is ouch :-)
The problem i have is: i really do this for fun and for all
people who have the same probs with IIS like i do. I never
expected that so many people would react. Just for the
stats: the number of people who download the OpenSA releases
grows by 50% each three weeks, we had about 3GB of traffic with
the site in March.
To make my point clear: i never wanted any kind of financial
support. If you have any suggestions on how to handle things
in a fair way, i`d be glad to hear them.
