Hi Daniel,
As I mentioned, first and foremost is to have fun developing OpenSA,
and support for it is at no charge.
But lets's say someone wanted mod_throttle.c added to it, maybe one
could be influenced, bribed, show their appreciation, by sending a
pizza, maybe a postcard, maybe they have the bandwidth and can become
a download mirror to keep that new T-1 under control.
I'd suspect that recogintion of work well done was actually being used
in the real world, is a big reward in itself too, but getting a pizza
when your sitting there working out a bug that's been bothering you for
a while now has some gratifications as well =)
More of a personal 'thank you' for your work than just a no-faced one.
It's not the monetary value, but the appreciation and thought behind it.
To the other members of this list, this is NOT a guilt trip in any way.
In this world there are takers and there are givers. I personally believe
in open-standards, and following the KISS method (keep it simple stupid).
OpenSA follows these and it's rare to find such a beast now a days,
I just appreciate the work that's being done.
Jim...
