The problem with x64 laptop to be used as an engineering workstation is that:
1) it does not provide ECC RAM
2) it is noisy (more than fine-tuned desktop)
mainly due to (1) I rather use classic desktop now.

PS: niagara is not the option for the engineering workstation unfortunately due 
to its very weak single-thread performance.
