I am not saying there is any shortcoming in the operating system, the shortcoming is in me!
Well, to be fair to myself, I'm not sure that the operating system is genuinely built to incorporate those with "general, everyday usage" in mind (something I was hoping to confirm or dispel with this thread). Also, I don't dispute it's a nice operating system for "developers". I guess what I'm asking is, is OpenSolaris intended as an option for the "general use" market (similar to Ubuntu, SUSE, etc.), or is it more something special for software engineers, server adminstrators and the like? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
