Hmmm, just in case it's a RAM or interrupt related issue, can you try booting up your laptop from a Milax live CD? Here is a URL with some info about Milax:
http://www.milax.org/ You can download an ISO file of the latest version of Milax from www.genunix.org After you download it, see if you can do an md5 checksum on the Milax ISO file to make sure that the download isn't corrupted and then Milax is basically the opensolaris equivalent of Dam n Small Linux (http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/) Since Milax just has the really stripped down bare-bones essentials of OpenSolaris with a minimal XFCE desktop instead of 2008.05's GNOME desktop, so if we can get Milax to work and then see what the difference is in the boot process between Milax and Indiana 2008.05 then it might help us to isolate what's causing the problem. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
