I think I got more hilarious results with Minax then with the official one.
At anyrate I downloaded the x86 ISO and ran it on my laptop. When i chose the default boot from GRUB this kept getting spammed a lot on my screen for a while before getting an X desktop that looked like IceWM not Xfce. At any rate neither touchpad nor keyboard worked . here is what was spammed to the best of my writing. QUOTE -------------------------------------------------------------------------- WARNING: cpudrv_power: cpudrv_pm_change_speed() return = -1 WARNING: Device /cpus/cpu at 0 failed to power up. I did how ever get this error a few times before it booted into X. The mouse moved this time but the keyboard still was disabled. Do the terminal fonts I have no idea if its VART or WART QUOTE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- asyn0: VART @ 3f8 scratch register expected 0x5a, got 0xff Cannot Identify VART Chip at 3f8 asyn1: VART @ 2f8 scratch register expected 0x5a, got 0xff Cannot Identify VART Chip at 2f8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ENDQUOTE Anyways. There is a beta for 2008.11 no? I will try that and see if I have any lucky. Also will there ever be a 32-bit and 64-bit release of OpenSolaris? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
