Well, it took a week but I finally solved this problem! And the solution was *drum roll, please* CD/DVD drive's DMA setting during boot. I disabled it with -B atapi-cd-dma-enabled=0 to the kernel line and whadda ya know, installer menu pops to the screen as it should be.
