Ok, I installed Ubuntu to get some sort of diagnostics going and the device detection tool showed green across the board for SXDE 1/08 (is it the same as OpenSolaris 2008.05?).
Opensolaris 2008.05 snv_86 64-bit installation hangs on the same point "probing for device nodes" as the snv_101. I tired from grub both options, opensolaris and opensolatis text console option. Is there some way to either get the verbose feed to a file or to find out what is exactly bugging Solaris in this hardware address /pci at 0,0/pci8086,244e at 1e/pci-ide at 7/ide at 0/sd at 0,0? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
