I'm not sure; it is possible that the ati hardware (RS780M/RS780MN [Radeon HD 3200 Graphics]) is too new, and not yet fully supported by Xorg. There already is a bug filed for the missing dri support: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6792748 But I'm not sure if this is the only reason why X is slow on your ATI HD 3200 video hardware. Are there BIOS setup options to configure caching for the video memory? Maybe the BIOS did setup (in the cpu's MTRR registers) video memory as uncachable? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
