I've got an Intel S5000VSA motherboard with 6 SATA drives connected to it. I've
a curious problem whereby the network intermittently stops responding. After
some time it comes back to life. This seems worse when workload is high, not
just network workload but disk activity in general. I did think this was only
triggered by smb but having disabled that and NFS I'm now clueless as it
happens when you thrash the disks. Interestingly the BMC traffic is also
interrupted at the same time, though I didn't think that depended on the host.
Has anyone any ideas what's going wrong?
