Hi Lars! Thanks again for your help. This time it worked. You are right it works with the iprb driver. I updated the file /etc/driver_aliases with the command update_drv -a -i '"pci8086,1094"' iprb . After that I told ifconfig to plumb the device via `ifconfig iprb0 plumb“. Thereafter I could configure the network device iprb0 with the GUI tool provided by solaris. From solaris I could see our other PC and I was able to transfer files between the two computers. So internally everything works fine. Unfortunately my settings for DNS didn't seem to work for Solaris. The system was not able to resolve any web addresses. I looked at the file /etc/resolv.conf and found everything all right.
But so far thanks a lot. I hope I will find a solution for the new problems which are on a higher level of abstraction. Axel This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
