DNS does not work because you environment is just partially configured. You can either run a "sys-unconfig" let the system reboot and answer all the networking questions anew when the box has rebooted .... Or you need to manually configure and create: /etc/defaultrouter /etc/nsswitch.conf /etc/netmasks /etc/hosts /etc/inet/ipnodes /etc/resolv.conf /etc/hostname.iprb0 There is man pages for all these files , eg: # man -s4 netmasks # man -s4 resolv.conf This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
