Sure it has.  I'm also pretty sure I sent you the details at least once.  SPI 
will quite happily handle donations (we even have a donations web page which 
allows donations directly into SPIs bank account (and labelled for our use).  
All I have said in the past is that I'm not keen on taking donations without 
some clear plan as to how they would be used.  That's never been forthcoming, 
so I haven't push the donations features.

Monetray donationes, I agree, on the other hand, I don't see why we couldn't 
have further mirrors by donation of server/bandwidth though, for example, I 
could easily mirror the plugins on one of my servers.
