Comment (by sergio.callegari@…):
Sorry if I was not clear, let me reformulate:
- My issue is not a bug to be reported to upstream kernel developers about
ath9k (I think they know already by the way). If my issue was that one, I
would have reported it upstream and not here. My issue is that the
openwrt documentation does not mention a frequent problems with ath9k and
the possible workarounds, so that people like me spend days to eventually
find out that something that is already well known elsewhere or give up
entirely reverting to the factory firmware.
- I started my 'monologue' as I got the impression that there was denial
of the ANI issue in first place, just blaming the user operating
environment.
- I have used openwrt for many years, but it is the first time that I
encounter a problem with the documentation and I would like to help fixing
it if possible. Since I am new to the process, I was kindly asking if me
contributing to the wrt160nl wiki page with some info on possible ANI
issues can be interesting or even desirable to the project.
So, let me kindly ask again:
* Is there any interest in this?
* Should I directly edit the WRT160NL page or is there some better
procedure for newcomers?
* Rather than editing the WRT160NL page, would it be more useful to set up
an ath9k page on the wiki and have the wrt160nl page point to it?
