 Hi all,

I do see the same issue on two of my office APs (TP-Link TL-WR2543N/ND v1)
based on ath9k 3x3 ... after a couple of day in proper operation, they
start to increase the latency even between ping packets from client to AP
in the order of seconds. And a wifi down & up resolves the issue for the
next couple of days. So lets try to fix this. What do we know so far:

 symptoms:
-ath9k in AP mode runs for a couple of days fine before latency increases
 up to multiple seconds

 affected hardware:
 -evidence that ath9k with WRT160NL and TP-Link TL-WR2543N/ND v1 show this
 issue

 current workaround:
-wifi restart (once a day per cron job)
 or
-to turn of ANI by "echo 0 > /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy0/ath9k/ani"
but which will decrease rx sensivity and therfore wireless coverage

 how to reproduce:
-no instant process known to triggers this latency issue right away, until
now someone can only waint until this state come up

 next trouble shooting steps:
-enable ANI on AP (is should be by default)
-enable ANI debugging (ATH_DBG_ANI) and collect output for further
 investigation (e.g. via syslogd) (echo 0x00000040 >
 /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy0/ath9k/debug)
-dedicated WiFi client that permanetly pings the AP and log the respone
 time
(until the effected APs run into this latency issue)

I try to check this in the next days, but helping hands are welcome.

 Greetings Bluse
