It has been reported
(http://the-digital-reader.com/2014/10/06/adobe-spying-users-collecting-data-ebook-libraries/)
that Adobe Digital Editions 4 is spyware: it not only sends back to base
all actions you take while reading, but it also searches your hard disk
and uploads the metadata for all books on your hard disk!

Of course, Adobe Digital Editions is required if you wish to read a book
which has been protected with Adobe DRM. However, nothing in the
purchase agreement for the ebook said I agreed to spyware searching my
hard disk.

So, can this form the basis of a "complaint to the Secretary of State"
about Adobe DRM in order to be granted permission to circumvent Adobe DRM?

Anyone any idea how to go about that?
