I agree with this assessment. I work for a big multinational company as an Architect working in the Information platforms space and I am very impressed with most of OrientDB, but there is always one or two nagging issues that prevents me for recommending it. With 1.7.x, they have been mostly around stability. I use it for several prototypes, mostly as a graph database, and if I ever can justify recommending it, we would likely become a paying customer even with an Oracle ELA.
