Generally the easiest way to get the MAC addresses from the client nodes is to network boot them. This sends out a DHCP request which the head node can hear (if you have pressed "Collect MAC Addresses" button) and get the MAC address of that client node from. Then once the MAC addresses have been assigned to a client node and either the "Setup Network Boot" or the "Make Boot CD" button have been pressed, the nodes will image when network booted. Otherwise, if someone put their computer on the network and network booted it would try to pull it into the cluster, which might not be desirable.
