Well, I think that while it's a good idea in theory it would definitely 
confine MTASC to an underground phenomenon. I don't see any of the large 
houses using MTASC if its syntax is incompatible with MM. People  will 
be afraid of lock-in because the code won't be able to run on anything 
else. Asking people to port code is a lot to ask, really. I'd be 
surprised if it flies. Also I think that the development metaphors for 
ActionScript, Ajax and the server are much too different for a single 
compiler to be of any use. How would you be able to translate a concept 
of 'MovieClip' to Ajax? Of innerHtml to Flash? It sounds like a good 
idea, but I'd think twice about it.
