The site needs to be professional and able to command the respect of large
organizations considering using open source alternatives to commercial
solutions.

I fully agree about the logo/header. with all due respect to Aral I 
think it's way out of context for an open-source website (or any 
website related to programming IMHO). I love grafitti but as a designer 
with a background in corporate ID I have to ask "What the **** does 
this have to do with anything the website is about?"
