Jason, do you have the std and std8 folders in the same directory that mtasc.exe lives in?

Also, in FLASC, it should have done it for you, but confirm that the location of your core FLash classes are set to the right location (blitz icon>Preferences)

Should be close to this:
C:/Documents and Settings/[username]/Local Settings/Application Data/Macromedia/Flash 8/en/Configuration/Classes/
