Hi,

As far as I know, OSFlash is focused on Flash related OS projects. It
is not focused on ColdFusion, or Dreamweaver or Livecycle, etc.

RIAForge is focused on Adobe related OS Projects. That does include
Flash, but that is just one of many aspects of this--I think the
majority of projects so far at RIAForge are ColdFusion related. Would
that be something OSFlash would want to host?. RIAForge is not
attempting to be *THE* Flash related OS resource. OSFlash does a great
job. But it wouldn't be a little odd to have an RIAForge that worked
with OS related projects for all Adobe products *except* Flash?

A another approach would be to have a series of totally separate
community site by product: OSColdFUsion, OSDreamweaver, OSLiveCycle,
OSPhotoshop, etc. But Ben and Ray decided to do RIAForge. If you like
it, great. If not, ignore it. That doesn't stop anyone from creating
OSPhotoshop or conflict with OSFlash which has a very clear focus.

We put on the MAX Conference (next week in fact---anyone from here
coming? Perhaps we can discuss this over a beer and you can meet Ben
Forta too). That doesn't stop us from also supporting FITC and CFUnited
and FlashForward and FlashBelt and TODC ("The other Dreamweaver
conference"). In fact, we support and speak at all of those and we
still do MAX. Having community events (and websites and user groups and
maillists etc etc) that cut across Adobe product lines is a good thing
in my opinion and having community events (etc etc) that are very
focused and product specific is also a good thing.

Both of these things can thrive without conflict, IMO.

I agree with this, Adobe doesn't seem moving properly. Then if some one
can please explain me the differences between osflash and the
explanation of RIAforge by Ben Forta I would be glad.
