Echoing David, I listen each day to the ColdFusion community too, and 
they have their own open-source tradition and awareness, distinct from 
that built around Flash. The LiveCycle folks are fewer, but have already 
developed their own approach towards employing the benefits of 
open-sourced development. They do have their own scene already.

...hmm... even before I learned of the acquisition, I knew of the 
official Adobe open-source site as well... lots of different strains in 
this movement.

Like Mike, I heard about RIAForge when it went live too. That's 
normal... although there *is* a single "Adobe", there's really a lot of 
distinct little brains within it, all working towards the same goal of 
bringing these enabling technologies out to more of the world.

I speedread this thread, and may have missed a subthread within it, but 
from what I see there was definitely no slight intended to this 
community here when folks initiated the RIAForge project. If I hadn't 
been caught up in the pre-MAX rush I would have acted faster to make the 
connections... apologies for my lapse here.
