Thank you for making the whole thread OT...

Please read previous posts, we were not talking at all about open 
sourcing the Flash Player here, we were talking about the SWF File 
Format Specification being not open.

Creating Flash content and coding can be considered a form of art, just 
like you would write a book or draw a picture. I can't imagine a world 
where you would not be able to read the book you write, or watch the 
picture you draw, and be free to do so the way you want.

But this is the current situation with SWF file format.

That was the whole point of the topic.
