Hi Till,

Yes I am aware that the Adobe is open sourcing the mxmlc compiler.  
Personally I don't see what is taking them so long but hey maybe  
that's just me. As you mentioned I do have an interest in enhancing  
the AS3 language and it is true that a lot of it can be done through  
the compiler like Thomas mentioned but there are some core things  
that cannot like native Arrays something that Flash has never really  
supported and I hate to sound like a broken record but that really  
gets my goat. Arrays are fundamental to fast performing languages why  
Adobe refuses to include "real" Arrays just numbs the mind.
