My entire point with Eigen was that if we were to replace the current
code with templated code, then instead of rolling our own it would be
better to consider using a complete, well developed library that does
that, even if OSG uses only minor part of it. Reinventing the wheel is
not good.

Also why to stop at osg::Vec?

Yeah, I completely agree that it could break a lot of stuff and it is
probably not the best idea. I am certainly not advocating doing this now.
