Hello Wojtek,
You got me really interested. Your post brings back the hope I lost ;-) I presume you have Vista. Can you also check prerender example and see if both screens look consistent ? On my machine one of them shows blue flag with a cessna and second shows blank white flag.
Vista 32-bit, Quad-core Intel Q6600 2.4GHz, GeForce 8800 GTX, nVidia ForceWare 169.25.
See the image, it looks fine. (the image is the two screens together, resized down 50%)
I havent tried the drivers version 169.25. Where did you get them ? Are they for Quadro ? What is you CPU ? I will try to find similar configuration at the company...
It's the latest official driver for Vista on the nVidia site. Click Download Drivers at the top-left, select GeForce 8, 8800 GTX, Vista 32-bit then click Search. I see that for XP the latest is 169.21, I don't know why there is a disparity there.
Attached is a screenshot from osgviewer dumptruck.osg run. Screenshot contains only a fraction of the screen to save on attachment size. But both screens look similar.
See image, looks fine. (again both screens resized down 50%)If you'll remember, the problem I had which started your investigations was when changing the threading mode in examples that use RTT (mostly osgshadow). It made the graphics driver crash ("Your graphics driver stopped responding and has recovered" message in the bottom right corner of the screen, which indicates that it crashed).
You seem to have different / more important problems... Sorry I can't repro here or I would gladly help you debug...
J-S
