I found that before but wasn't sure if it supports custom mipmaps.
Now I know that it definitively doesn't do that (which is a shame)

Yes, it definitely is, especially since it seems to do the reverse (extracting existing mipmap levels into separate layers on load)...

And yes, it gives you a few filter to choose from.

That's good at least, it will allow you to make mipmaps that look better than what GLU generates at least.
