I guess one of the first things I want to implement is the binding for

I'd rather implement the shader-stuff using cg/cgfx than with GLSL,
because it's easier to write shaderprofile-fallbacks and to define the
shaders parameters for the artists userinterface already bundled in the
cgfx-file.
But I never really dived into GLSL, so maybe I prefer CGFX/CG just
because I'm used to it... ;)

There is osgNV which is Marco Jez's NodeKits for support NVidia
specific extension including Cg. Marco has been swamped with other
work this year, so I don't expect it'll be up to date.

From an core OSG perspective I don't have any plans for Cg support in
the core OSG. Cg is just an NVidia thing, before GLSL it was a great
stop gap, but now we have GLSL the real need for Cg has gone. GLSL is
the future of OpenGL.

There is one aspect of Cg that GLSL doesn't cover is the FX framework,
but the OSG has its own osgFX which might go some way of being able to
map things at the back, perhaps not in its current encarnation, but
like the rest of the OSG is subject to review and enchancement as time
goes on, supporting COLLADA might be good thing to push it along.

Robert.
