Hi Mike,

The COLLADA projects admittedly need some packaging. (I've been on holiday and

Holiday's are good ;-)

As for the COLLADA plugin, the SourceForge CVS has separate projects for each of
several COLLADA revisions; what you have is the really really oldest version.
Only the "osgdb_dae14" for COLLADA v1.4.x is relevent these days, which may be
found at
http://osgdb-collada.cvs.sourceforge.net/osgdb-collada/osgdb_dae14/
(SF doesn't like projects to delete files, but we probably should remove those
old versions to avoid confusion)

Tell me about SF not like to delete stuff. I've asked them to remove
the openscenegraph project entry, and to no avail. I don't have time
to maintain the OSG's pages on sourceforge, so they are woefully out
of date, but some people still end up downloading stuff from there,
and the activity stats are totally inappropriate due to all the real
traffic being on our own server...

Guess I need to contact them again.

Anyway, on COLLADA front, thanks for the pointer to the latest plugin.
We really need to document this.

Longer term, would Sony be happy to see it moved into the core OSG distribution?

The README can be found at
http://osgdb-collada.cvs.sourceforge.net/osgdb-collada/osgdb_dae14/README_dae14.txt?revision=1.2&view=markup
As it mentions, you'll need to build the DOM then the plugin; they're not
packaged together.

I'll try to get a tidy package put together next week or so after catching up
from being away. btw if you happen to create a gcc makefile, I'd be glad to
include it, the focus to date has been on MSVC

I'll see if I can squeeze writing an makefile in.

Robert.
