While I don't really mind the pseudo-3D view itself, the thing that
I find more important is the "north-up" option: with the north
constantly moving around I find that I end up learning the map much more
slowly.

Regarding routing speed: I find Osmand's routing occasionally slow (not
in comparison to other tools, but in the fact that the speed is
annoying), but it's not nearly as a serious a problem as is the power
consumption (when running on battery, my phone will barely last 1h
running osmand in routing mode, so I have to carefully suspend the
routing and restart it for any significant use).
