Actually it seems that the board does not require certain state of the
controls but that certain mute toggle is toggled at least once after
initialization and other certain mute toggle is never toggled (see
picture in previous email) This looks like a driver problem rather
than noise coming from unused input. However, the option to mute
everything on driver load might also work around this problem

I am running oss-v4.1-build1052b-src-gpl because
oss-v4.0-build1016-src-gpl does not build against my kernel and the
source checked out from mercurial has license that allows running the
driver only on one computer which is not something I would like using.
