The official religion was actually Shinto, not Bushdio.  Shinto should  
not be confused with Buddhism.  Bushido itself was not a religion, it  
is more of a code of conduct.  It's roots have a mix of buddhism,  
confisucianism, and the original warrior code.

Don't mix the them up please.
