I am skeptical of e-stim devices for the hand. In my experience, there is little a therapist or device can do to restore permanent and meaning ability to a hand affected by a CVA. Of course, I've seen patient's recover hand function s/p CVA, but this normally occurred spontaneously and rather quickly after the CVA.
When someone is 1 year or more out from their stroke, and hand function is not meaningful, I do not feel that meaningful use will return.
