Wonder if this is an OTRS issue or a PERL issue?

I haven't experienced it but haven't upgraded PERL either.  Suppose one step
would be to look at what change was made in perl in the 'recent' update...
should probably hint to the cause.

I'll see if I can find anything on this, but considering that there have now
been two reports on this it is probable there are others.  Probably a good
idea to file a bug report and see if OTRS can get this fixed, assuming it is
an OTRS issue.

Anyone updated, perl and NOT experienced this error??
