Did you notice line 4 and 5 from the debug output below (version 2.6p1)?
When running with debug on 2.5p10 there is no line like
DATA: DS9490_getstatus: error reading ret=-22
and the next line says
DATA: DS9490_setup_adapter: done (ret=0)
instead of
DATA: DS9490_setup_adapter: getstatus failed ret=-5
as it does with 2.6p1. Strange....

Does not happen with 2.6p1. Works just fine with 2.5p10.
