I also have a PI and there seems to be a general problem with USB drivers or possibly some hardware issue. It's not just me, there are numerous post on forums. People from the foundation acknowledged this problem but for now there is no solution. So if anyone experiences problems with USBserial it's probably this. It apparently affects devices that are connected through a hub and some wireless keyboards too. The Broadcom chip has one usb output. It is connected to the SMSC... chip which is a Ethernet device and a usb hub. This SMSC.. chip most probably causes problems. > Cheers > Mick > > On 14/08/12 14:45, Robert Conway wrote: >> Oh should state memory leak is nothing to do with owfs, it seems a >> problem >> with the serial port and how I am using it to gather information from >> other >> devices via rs232.. >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Robert Conway [mailto:rjcon...@bigpond.com] >> Sent: Tuesday, 14 August 2012 11:20 PM >> To: m...@sulley.info; 'OWFS (One-wire file system) discussion and help' >> Subject: Re: [Owfs-developers] owfs on Raspi running Raspian wheezy >> >> Hi Mick, >> >> Just wondering if the Rpi is reliable over longer periods.
