I'm not sure if the [default] section of switches.conf works the way you
think it does...  I could be wrong (And I really want to know myself),
but I don't believe it falls back to those settings if they're not
specified elsewhere.

This is also another issue.  You're using a deauthMethod of SSH, so I
don't think any of the SNMP stuff you're expecting will work.  Switch
this to SNMP and see if that makes a difference.  If not, then go a step
further and specify the community strings for this switch directly and
see if that helps.
