Hi Jason,
I modify the setting as you suggested but still not working. I switched the
deauthMethod to SNMP, assign two new snmp strings to the swtich. I also
changed the SNMP to version 1. Below is the new config.
switches.conf
[192.168.1.12]
mode=production
deauthMethod=SNMP
type=Cisco::Catalyst_2960
VoIPEnabled=N
uplink=24
radiusSecret=useStrongerSecret
defaultVlan=1
SNMPCommunityRead=public2960
SNMPCommunityWrite=private2960
pfsw2960#show running-config | in snmp
snmp-server community public RO
snmp-server community private RW
snmp-server community public2960 RO
snmp-server community private2960 RW
snmp-server enable traps snmp linkdown linkup
snmp-server enable traps port-security
snmp-server enable traps port-security trap-rate 1
snmp-server enable traps mac-notification change move threshold
snmp-server host 192.168.1.5 public2960 port-security
I was making the changes via Web UI. I noticed when I click on the IP
address of the switch, packetfence.log gave me some error like this:
Jul 16 13:20:09 httpd.admin(0) ERROR: Use of uninitialized value $value in
string eq at
/usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/HTML/FormHandler/Widget/Field/Select.pm line
90.
(pfappserver::__ANON__)
After I modified the setting of the switch, and clicked on save,
packetfence.log gave some error like this:
Jul 16 13:20:25 httpd.admin(0) INFO: Changes successfully commited
(pfappserver::Base::Controller::Crud::Config::_commitChanges)
Jul 16 13:20:25 httpd.admin(0) ERROR: Argument "default" isn't numeric in
pack at /usr/local/pf/lib/pf/util.pm line 456.
(pfappserver::__ANON__)
I guess these might not be the cause of the issue because I can verify the
setting from the configure file directly. But why there are error pop up?
Regards,
Jacky
